Unfortunately I had to get sick and depressed to start me on a journey to find it. But I was very fortunate to find amazing teachers along the Way, teachers who spent years sharing what they learned.

Once upon a time, all the world seemed alive. People talked to rocks and trees. And, they weren’t surprised when angels and gods walked among us.

Well, two huge paradigm shifts gave us the world we have today…
First, Divinity was banished to a distant Heaven, the keys reserved only for a few. It made people fearful, and easier to control.
Second, once the Divine was tucked away, it was much easier to pretend, it didn’t exist at all. Matter became the justification for all existence.
And matter, without Spirit, is dull and lifeless. It’s like living in Flatland.
The Magic, however, isn’t gone. Just hiding. Hiding in plain sight really, for anyone who starts looking for it.
For anyone who wants to learn to shape reality. To walk the Way of the Mage.

Initiation (Week 13)

“Wow, 12 weeks? That’s a lot! How much work is there?”
Three months may seem like a long commitment, but learning any new skills takes time and practice. With three months, you’ll be be able to challenge your old worldview, and begin to create something new in it’s place.
More specifically, we’ll spend:
- Part 1: 2 lessons on the history, theory and essential tools you’ll need to make magic work for you
- Part 2: 6 lessons explore different magical techniques in more detail, so you can try them out for yourself and figure out which appeal to you most
- Part 3: 3 lessons on more “advanced” magical topics, considering the mind blocks and ethics of common magical requests involving self-protection, prosperity and love
- Part 4: 1 lesson in how to integrate what you’ve learning into your daily life
So, that’s 12 weeks to get a deep dive. Sure, I could make it shorter, but you would lose having the time it takes to truly integrate Magic as part of your daily life.
There will be approximately 60 minutes of new video content each week, broken into 5-15 minute segments to make it easy to find what you are looking for. There will also be a study guide to help you take notes and better retain what you learn in the lessons.
Each week, you’ll also be encouraged to experiment with the material by casting your own spell, and keeping notes on the result of your magical experiment. There’s also a quiz to test how much of the week’s material you have internalized.
“Initiation? Is that important? Can I really be initiated from an internet course?”
I had to think about this question myself as I was creating this course; here’s the answer I came up with for myself...
Initiation is a threshold that leads you from one “reality bubble” to another. It gives you an opportunity to see the world in a different way. It allows you to make new connections on all levels -- with yourself, with others and with Spirit.
Initiations can include labor and tests to set the stage for your transition. But ultimately they occur within your own mind.
The Way of the Mage program is set up to create 12 weeks of magical preparation. And, if you pass all the tests, then initiation is the logical result. The week 13 initiation ceremony is the logical conclusion of all your hard work.
And, if you’ve actually done the homework, it can be a powerfully transformative experience.
It can change your world. If you want to change your world, that is.
“I’ve never worked with magic before, would this course be too much for me?”
Not at all! In a way, this is the introduction to magic I wish I’d had.
Though on one level this program is about casting spells, it operates on deeper levels, too.
it’s about learning the foundational theory of magic; that’s because I believe it’s easiest to learn things when you understand the WHY behind them.
And, it’s also about how you can learn more about yourself. Ultimately, the best way to change your world is to change how you are living in it.
“I’ve been practicing magic for years, is this course too basic for me?”
If you’ve been casting spells out of books, but never really understood WHY different herbs or stones or other techniques are used in rituals, then the Way of the Mage is perfect for you. Or, if you’ve lacked the confidence to design your own spells and rituals, then again, this is the place to be.
Or, if you’re looking for a theory of magic, a structured approach to learning, or an initiation into the Hermetic tradition, then Way of the Mage can also meet your needs. And, if you’ve never kept records for your spellcasting experiments, this program can definitely help you think of your craft different.
But, if you read books in the history of Magic, as well as a variety of modern interpretations of ancient techniques, then you may find the materials familiar. And if you’re already used to analyzing and reviewing your magical experiments, again, these lessons are probably too basic for you.
