First, Divinity was banished to a distant Heaven, the keys reserved only for a few. It made people fearful, and easier to control.Â
Second, once the Divine was tucked away, it was much easier to pretend, it didn’t exist at all. Matter became the justification for all existence.
And matter, without Spirit, is dull and lifeless. It’s like living in Flatland.
The Magic isn’t gone, just hiding. Hiding in plain sight really, for anyone who starts looking for it.Â
