This Sagittarius season the Sun is relatively unaspected, in other words “you gotta do you.” At least the Sun’s got a little company in Sagittarius, a tight conjunction of Mercury and Venus just at the edge of the Sun’s aspect orb. So, it’s like knowing you’ve got friends on the way, but you’ve got to amuse yourself for a bit until they finally arrive. With Sagittarius energy, that’s not usually a problem. There are always things to explore, new movies, books, places… you know the drill. Take yourself on an adventure, in the outer world or within.

The feeling of alone-ness may be intensified by Sagittarius ruler Jupiter, which happens to be stationing (standing still) at the time the Sun enters the sign of the Archer. Jupiter’s apparent lack of motion is just an illusion created by the fact that his annual retrograde ends about 36 hours after the Sun’s ingress into his sign. But, the good news is that, for the final four weeks of Sagittarius season, Jupiter is strong and direct in his other sign Pisces. Overall, the Sun’s optimistic and spiritually content, therefore, it's more likely we will feel the same.

Jupiter’s also been flirting with Pluto in Capricorn; a little bit of harmless fun, since the two won’t actually make a date of it. It’s a last chance to put a positive spin on what you’ve learned about during the 14-year tenure of Pluto in Capricorn. Harvest those good memories now, because they will serve as the seeds for what we all explore next when Pluto enters Aquarius in March next year. 

At the start of Sagittarius season, the Moon is unaspected and traveling through Scorpio, the sign of its fall. Scorpio Moon’s aren’t always comforted by the sign’s natural intensity; it’s a time when our shadowy bits are brought to the surface. On top of that, it’s a dark Moon (a waning crescent). Months that begin with a dark Moon may seem more internal than most. You may feel like it’s a month to wrap things up and move on.

Your best approach this Sagittarius season? Enjoy doing your own thing. It’s a welcome change after a few months of heavier aspects, and you may feel a bit hungover or burned out from the stress. Cut yourself some slack, and focus on the good things in your life. An attitude of gratitude may be just what you need to raise your spirits again.
