Cancer Horoscope 2024

Homey. Moody. Tribal. These are the keywords astrology books use to describe Cancer season. And it's usually true. Cancer does like its backyard barbecues, home cooking and patriotic displays. 

However, things may not be so domestic this month. Wanderlust is higher than usual, and the Cosmic forecast herald a few surprises. So, buckle up.

Now let’s get into what sets the 2024 Gemini Season apart from those in other years...

Don’t expect the comfort-loving Moon to want to stay close to home this Cancer season. There’s plenty in the sky that will rev up the story this season.

For starters, Mercury and Venus entered this watery sign early to prepare the way for the Sun. Mercury in Cancer has strong opinions, though is sometimes shy of sharing them. Venus, on the other hand, knows what she wants and can make you understand even without words. However, both are less likely to consider social conventions given they are out-of-bounds. All is fair in love and war, could be the motto.

Cancer’s typically placid ruler the Moon is also more than willing to step out of line. Not only is she in adventurous Sagittarius, but she’s out of bounds as well. That suggests Luna finds solace in self-discovery and exploration, perhaps even a little crusading. She’ll want to get outside of her comfort zone by traveling or doing something she hasn’t done before.

In fact, the only thing tying down the Moon is a tense square with Saturn in Pisces. The ringed planet councils a little caution, which might translate into the Moon packing a guidebook before venturing into the great unknown. It won’t stop the journey but may give it some guide rails.

In other news, Jupiter in Gemini, Mars in Taurus and Saturn in Pisces light up the predawn sky in Cancer season. Together, these suggest stormy times ahead. Jupiter is in detriment in Gemini; it’s easy for his grand gestures to fly out of control. Mars also feels out of sorts in Taurus; the Bull, taunted by the red cape, will charge when you least expect it. Finally, Saturn, who’s still swimming Pisces, isn’t in the best position to calm things down. Together, it’s a backdrop for choppy waters ahead.

The season ends with a bang when Mars catches up with Uranus in Taurus on July 15. Uranus is always itching to get outside the box; Mars is happy to help by smashing it to pieces. Together, these two will stir up trouble wherever they can, especially if it helps shake people out of their complacency.

Best Approach to Cancer 2024

What does all of this suggest about your best approach this Cancer season? You may be surprised that the season is more active than most. Road trips will likely be more popular than staycations as people seek to make some new memories from off the beaten path. Don’t be afraid to speak up for what you want and need, it’s an auspicious time for getting out of your ruts.

Finally, take a little extra care around mid-month. The Mars-Uranus conjunction will add fuel to any fire. It could send you toppling off in totally unexpected ways, though in hindsight it may be exactly what you need.
