As this Aries season begins, the Sun harmonizes with a regal Moon in Leo. The Moon sets the emotional tone of the season. While she’s in Leo that means warm and passionate. Combine that with the extra fiery Aries Sun, and there’s a lot of energy for going boldly into whatever makes you jazzed.

And, with the Moon out of bounds, you may find yourself even more willing to break out of your rut. Don’t be afraid to get a little outside of your comfort zone; you may discover something something new to love. The Moon’s facing off with Pluto, too. It’s a sign that deep, shadowy bits of the psyche are stepping up for recognition and healing. Don’t take your feelings at face value.

The Sun’s also sharing space in Aries with a fast-talking, hard-negotiating Mercury. That’s not great for patience, but it is the ideal energy for plain speech and clearing the air. If there’s something you’ve been hesitant to say, now may be the time. Just remember, other’s tongues may be as sharp as yours.

Aries’ ruler Mars is wrapping up his Aquarius tour. Mars heats things up, encouraging us to either brave up and fight (or, if necessary, run away as fast as we can.) While he’s in Aquarius, he’s applying his moxie in airy, intellectual ways. It’s a season for sticking to your opinions.Full stop.

In other news, sweet and sultry Venus has joined Saturn and Jupiter on their easy-going stroll. Venus loves to visit Pisces, savoring the romantic fantasies it supplies. She’s also aiding Jupiter’s ongoing encouragement of Saturn. The message: your spiritual work doesn’t actually have to be WORK. Joy, laughter and fun can also be part of your practice – should be part of your practice.

Finally, the 2024 Aries Sun season hosts a pair of eclipses. Shadow work always fits the eclipse theme, as does letting go of what no longer serves you. There’s also a Mercury retrograde beginning on Apr. 1, which is another celestial call for resetting and renewal. The two can act together as a powerful urge to make changes, especially for those with Aries and Libra signatures in their own astrological wiring.
