Gemini Horoscope 2024
May 21, 2024When the doors of perception are cleansed, Geminis are happy campers. After all, the Twins love the freedom to communicate, learn and otherwise satisfy their insatiable curiosity. Even more, they loathe judgments of all kinds, preferring to celebrate the unfiltered life.
But, alas, things aren't always so simple. And this year in particular you may sense what lies under the surface, and find yourself more willing to tread carefully.

Now let’s get into what sets the 2024 Gemini Season apart from those in other years...
As this Gemini season begins, the Sun wanders all alone through Gemini. Gemini’s ruler Mercury is grounded in Taurus. Mercury’s typical flightiness may be bound to practical concerns, laziness, or just plain stubbornness. A little patience will go a long way. Remind yourself that when you are stuck, nothing lasts forever.
Things get a little more complicated given Mercury squares off with underworldly Pluto. It’s as if a Shadow is hanging over the journey through the Twins’ breezy vibe. Fear, shame and guilt may simmer just below the surface of even the most festive affairs.
As Gemini season begins, the Moon’s hanging out in another air sign, lovely Libra. It will amp up our need to communicate and relate; it’s likely to be a socially engaged month. However, there’s a fly in the chardonnay. This part of Libra is part of the Via Combusta, or the Burning Way. Astrologers considered when planets, especially the Moon, were here in charts of events, it was an omen to take caution of a bumpy road ahead.
Though the season may feel uncertain as it begins, the winds shift quickly. The love goddess Venus sashays into Gemini on May 23 followed by over-optismic Jupiter on May 25. As the season begins Venus and Jupiter are morning planets; however, they are so close to the Sun that no one will be able to see their bright early morning glow.
Venus is sweeping “behind” the Sun on the side furthest from the Earth. In what some astrologers call a Venus star point, the superior conjunction will be exact on June 4. It marks the midpoint of an 80-day period in which Venus receives her divine downloads before beginning her next cycle. Questions about what you desire percolate in the psychic depths; you’ll have a clearer picture of what it all means when Venus re-emerges at the end of July as an evening star. Until then, take some time to reflect on what you want, not what others want for you or from you.
Jupiter, on the other hand, is about to emerge from the glare of the Sun’s beams; its helical rise in mid-June may feel like a breath of hope has blown into the season. Morning star Jupiter inspires hope and purpose to all who wish upon its brilliance. But there’s one little caveat: Jupiter isn’t at his best in Gemini. Jupiter’s desire to expand can easily lead to distraction or even burnout if left unchecked. Let hope guide you, not deceive you.
Best Approach to Gemini 2024
What does all of this suggest about your best approach this Gemini season? There’s plenty of optimism, even freedom, as it may feel like restrictions you didn’t even know you had lift away. But, there’s also a catch. All the difficult bits are still there. It’s only your perceptions that are changing. If you can use your fresh perspective to chart a better course, that’s ideal. Just beware of allowing your rose-colored glasses to prevent you from spotting the potholes before you fall in.
