2025 Leo Full Moon
Feb 10, 2025
The Leo Full Moon is a call for passion and self-expression in the midst of intellectually driven Aquarius season. Given Aquarius' vision for collective progress, the radiant Lion reminds us that embracing individuality and creativity is just as essential for true belonging.
Of course, not all Leo Moons are the same. You may find you've got to roar a little louder to make yourself heard during the 2025 Leo lunation. Read on to learn more about how you can turn the energies of this feisty Full Moon to your advantage...
About the Full Moon in Leo
Full Moons are energy-charged moments. The Leo Moon charges up our solar side. In other words, Leo Moons are motivated by our desire to express our divine creativity. It can translate as a desire to launch new projects, create art, or anything else that lets us feel like we are stepping into the divine creative flow.
If Aquarius yearns for reason, structure, order and temperance, the Leo Moon is the divine spark that fills the waterbarer’s amphora. It’s the raw power that Aquarius shapes to pour out into the world. It reminds us that order without inspiration is hollow and dogmatic.
Make the best of the Leo Full Moon by embracing your inner light. Allow it to warm you and inspire you. The world needs what you can bring to form, if you are willing to let your light shine without fear.

Leo Full Moon 2025 Forecast
You can certainly expect the unexpected when the Full Moon’s tangles with Uranus. But the lessons of this lunation run much deeper since Uranus is spending his final few weeks Taurus. The iconoclastic planet is wrapping up what he’s learned from the experience; globally we’ve seen shifts from how we relate to the planet to the tensions around bodily autonomy. It’s time to reflect on what you’ve learned over the past seven years, before the game board is reset.
The Moon’s lunar mansion adds another note to the cosmic choir. This New Moon falls in the12th Lunar mansion Al Sarfrah. I nicknamed it the Dragon. Progress during a Dragon Moon comes through competition and conflict. So. If you find yourself caught in a difference of opinion, don’t worry! Take a breath, and look again. You may discover what you need to learn hiding in that moment of conflict.
The Full Moon in Leo is moving slower than normal since it occurs near the furthest point from Earth in its orbit. (It’s sometimes called a “Mircomoon,” since it appears smaller in the skies). This helps us to slow down and be more deliberate and reflective in our decisions and actions. It may also feel like things take longer to come to fruition; patience is your ally.
In other celestial news, sullen Mars and dour Saturn search for their own common ground. Saturn’s also finishing up his three-year plunge in Pisces; he’s learned the power of staying grounded and centered even when all dissolves around you. A defiant Mars refuses to play by any rules other than his own makes one final attempt to upend what stability Saturn has found. Ask yourself, what’s more important to you: your sense of Self, or your need to be free of social constraints? (Hint, finding your way between form and force is deceptively complex.)
Make the Most of the 2025 Leo Full Moon
This may seem like a lot of conflicting information. So, what’s the short version? It’s a Full Moon that heralds the big changes coming soon. It’s time to get clear on who you believe you are, and what you want from the world. If you want to make space for yourself, you may need to brave up and claim it. No one else can do it for you. In other words, make friends with your Inner dragon now, if you want the strength to move into the new territories ahead.
"Joy, rather than happiness, is the goal of life, for joy is the emotion which accompanies our fulfilling our natures as human beings. It is based on the experience of one's identity as a being of worth and dignity."
