As this Aries season begins, the Sun harmonizes with an adventurous Moon in Sagittarius. The Moon sets the emotional tone of the season. While she’s in Sagittarius that means truth-seeking and adventurous. Combine that with the extra fiery Aries Sun, and there’s a lot of energy for going boldly into whatever makes you jazzed.

And, with the Moon out of bounds, you may find yourself even more willing to break out of your rut. Don’t be afraid to get outside your comfort zone; you may discover something new to love. The Moon’s congenial with Pluto, too. It’s a sign that deep, shadowy bits of the psyche are stepping up for recognition and healing. Don’t take your feelings at face value; ask yourself, “Why do I feel this way?” until you get to the root cause.

Mercury retrograde in Aries isn’t great for patience, but it is ideal for plain speech and clearing the air. If there’s something you’ve been hesitant to say, consider getting it in the open so you can deal with it. Just remember: other tongues may be as sharp as yours. If you’re not willing to engage in a few arguments, stickl to cleaning out your own shadowy bits.

Ordinarily, we could rely on Venus to smooth over our rough edges, but Venus retrograde in Aries has little interest in such trivialities as ruffled feathers or hurt feelings. She wants what she wants, and she’s determined to get it. Her retrograde may have her reflecting on her desires, but that’s not blunting her willingness to make demands.

Aries’ ruler Mars is wrapping up his prolonged tour of Cancer. Mars heats things up, encouraging us to either brave up and fight (or, if necessary, run away as fast as you can.) While he’s in Cancer, that’s not always easy. Mars zeal applied in this nurturing sign can become defensive or passive-aggressive.

Fortunately, Mars is harmonizing with Saturn In Pisces, who’s helping him restrain some of his worst impulses. Count to 10 before you leap into the fray. It will allow you to consider whether you might be fighting illusions rather than enemies.

The 2025 Aries Sun season begins in the middle of a pair of eclipses. Shadow work always fits the eclipse theme, as does letting go of what no longer serves you. But to do The Work effectively, you’ve got to make space for rest and reflection. That means scaling back your schedule to leave extra time for journaling, meditating and dreaming. If you can embrace the darkness within, you may discover riches you never realized you possessed.

Finally, the other Big News of the 2025 Aries season: Neptune enters Aries for the first time in 150 years on Mar. 30. There’s a spectacular warm-up to the event: first retrograde Venus leaves Aries to rejoin Neptune in Pisces, Then there’s a solar eclipse in Aries. And, finally, retrograde Mercury rejoins Neptune in Picses. That’s an unprecedented triple-whammy of energy concentrated on what astrologers call the Aries Point, considered the most pivotal point on the “world axis,” representing affairs of global importance.

So, what does all this all mean? Aries season 2025 certainly heralds a turning point in global affairs. Watery Pisces favors compassion and universal love, while Aries prefers independence and self-determination. The Aries point represents the balance between these two philosophies of life. When they find balance, the overall result is a optimal “middle way” between extremes. But the balance is tipping toward the Arian “what’s in it for me?” polarity over the next decades. That’s bad, if you’re waiting for someone to come and save you. It’s good, if you’re willing to take steps to save yourself. Initiative will be rewarded over “having faith” things will work out.

However, before you panic, this just part of the story unfolding. As other planets head toward air signs, collective action will also increase. Sure, these groups may be motivated by common self-interest, but at least things are unlikely to devolve completely into “every person for themselves” anarchy.

But enough of the global overview, what can you make of these energies in your own life? Well, right now we are "in transit." But the pace of life is about to speed up dramatically over the next few months.
