2024 Taurus Full Moon
Nov 13, 2024
The Taurus Full Moon is a call for stability and sensuality in the midst of transformative Scorpio season. Given Scorpio’s love for intensity and deep change, the steadfast Bull reminds us that grounding in the physical world—through pleasure, nature and simple joys—can be just as powerful.
But the 2024 Taurus Full Moon is far less soothing than usual There's less carefree enjoyment and more stubborn determination.

About the Full Moon in Taurus
The annual Taurus Full Moon is one of the most powerful Moons of the year.
That’s because Taurus exalts the Moon. See, the Moon prefers to feel safe and comfortable. And Taurus is Venus’ earthy abode. That means Venus uses all of her wiles to help the Moon get exactly what she wants. And, well, how would you feel paying a visit to a day spa that caters to your every whim? That’s exaltation.
Full Moons are ideal moments to celebrate the good things in life. But when the Moon is in Taurus, the celebration is...extra. Extra indulgent, hedonistic, and satiating. Truly, it’s the halcyon oasis of ease in the middle of the season of Scorpionic intensity. It’s a moment to be savored for what it is. Just don’t attach to these pleasures of the moment, because they will go as quickly as they came.
For that is the true lesson of a Taurus Full Moon. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying life’s pleasures, so long as you don’t cling to them. Because they will pass, and clinging only leads to suffering and addiction. (That’s the remedy for Scorpio intensity after all.) So, can you enjoy what is, and then let go?

Taurus Full Moon 2024 Forecast
“Shocking” is in headlines describing this Taurus Full Moon. Its close conjunction with iconoclastic Uranus certainly shakes up the status quo. Uranus inspires originality. It also means being willing to chew off your arm to be free of restraints on your identity or sense of purpose. While it’s difficult to predict what’s inherently innovative, we can get popcorn ready to watch the show.
The November 2024 Full Moon is also a Supermoon. That means it moves faster and appears larger and brighter than an ordinary Full Moon. Things may feel intense; events are likely to unfold more quickly than usual. Keep your eyes open. You may need to rely more on your perceptual skills to make decisions; there may not be much time for contemplation.
In the background of the lunar dance, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are in a harmonious alignment. It suggests there’s much moving beneath the surface of our conscious awareness. Whether seeds are being planted in the collective unconscious, or within your psyche, remember it takes a while for such things to rise to the level of ordinary awareness. In the meantime, dreams may be odd or we may feel extra tired as our inner resources process new information.
Brilliant Venus rules the Taurus Full Moon. She’s recently entered Capricorn, where her desires are decidedly earthy. However, she feels sidelined from the action since she’s unaspected by other planets. Well, unless you count an uncomfortable quincunx with Mars in Leo. For Venus, that’s a bit like being left out and cornered by a narcissistic cad. She might prefer the alternative of being left alone.
In other news, Mercury and Jupiter are having their own tête-à-tête. Jupiter is busy making plans for the future, and Mercury is eager to talk endlessly about all the options. The planets are not only opposed to one another, they are in each other signs (what astrologers call a mutual reception), but also both in detriment and not functioning at their best. So because their conversation is so exclusive, it’s likely based more on ideology or theory, rather than the real world. The one planet that could have tossed some cold water on their zeal is Saturn in Pisces, but he’s already missed his chance.
There’s a little ray of hope, too. This New Moon falls in the Lunar Zodiac sign aka Lunar Mansion 5 Al Hak’ah I’ve nicknamed it the Crown, because it’s an auspicious time for applying one’s creativity and intelligence. Give yourself a time-out to contemplate the big picture of what you’re doing; you might receive a flash of insight on how you can do it even better. A little bit of thinking before acting can go a long way.
Make the Most of the 2024 Taurus Full Moon
Put this all together, and we’ve got one of the most potent Full Moons of 2024. There’s a great desire for freedom, change, even revolution. But not a lot of listening. More like merrily making plans disconnected from worldly concerns. You may be tempted by the “move fast and break things” impulse. Just remember, plans don’t endure without a foundation to build on.
"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."
